Past Talks
Like every year, our 2024 Cancer Research Event was a success! The talks from prestigious professors and clinical academics deepened our knowledge into the latest advancements and research in cancer. From the use of robots for head and neck cancer to the inclusion of older adults into clinical trials, it was an exciting night had by all. Thank you to all our speakers and students who attended, we look forward to continue to host this event.
On February 16th, Dr Samuel Chew hosted an insightful talk on the topic of Research Electives. It was an excellent event, with lots of knowledge gained by the audience. Following Dr Chews medicine journey, we heard his top tips on scholarships, bursaries, overseas research electives and more! We extend our appreciation to Dr Chew for this talk!
DRAMS was excited to present our Ted Talk (+Pizza!!), featuring the distinguished Prof. John Dillon (Professor of Hepatology & Gastroenterology), who delved into the intriguing topic of “Career Paths and Insights”
Prof. Dillon will took us on a journey through the intricate and diverse landscapes of career paths within the medical fields. Drawing upon his wealth of experience and expertise, he shared his invaluable insights with us. Much knowledge was learnt on navigating the complex terrain of careers in medicine.
